Why an ugly website? My campaign begins with no money in the bank and only the support of my lovely wife Sarah.

As your donations come in and as the number of supporters increases, my campaign website will grow and improve. This development is a symbol of one of the most important duties the County Chair has: volunteer recruitment, development, and transformation into citizen-leaders. I take that role very seriously.

Kenny Ketner

Kenny's plan to grow the Democratic Party in Lubbock involves creating more opportunities for volunteers to participate and develop themselves in the Party year-round, increasing the media outreach and visibility of the LCDP, and demonstrating Democratic Party values through statements and actions on local issues, even those traditionally considered nonpartisan.

Kenny is a full-time computer programmer, part-owner of a used bookstore, morning talk radio co-host, liberal blogger, and activist. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Lubbock County Democratic Party, is the founding President of the Lubbock Area Young Democrats, and actively participates in the Occupy Lubbock group.

* Served on the 2010 Texas Democratic Party Platform Committee

* Wade Wilkes Show on AM 580 co-host 2010-present (replacement co-hosts during campaign)
